I’ve spent way too much time recently in the toy section of Target and at (shudder) ToysRUs, and gah–is it scary! But my big peeve lately is the ads for Tonka, which has lots of nifty vehicles that one assumes many children would find appealing. But no, according to their obnoxious website, Tonkas are “built for boyhood.”
“After all, boys are built different. TONKA’s got the Blueprint.”
At least they’ve got the construction concept down.
